One of the 6 criteria that you'll be examined on in your OET writing is Genre & Style.
In this video, we look at what this means and give you an insight into how to score well in this criterion.
We'll take a look at how you can make your OET writing more professional, and the differences between informal and formal writing.
We'll also look at how to make sure your OET writing doesn't sound judgemental. You may not agree with your patient's lifestyle choices, but it's important that this opinion does not come across when you write.
There are also other ways you can elevate your writing to make it sound more formal and professional. These include starting and ending appropriately and deciding whether it is a good idea or not to use abbreviations in your letter.
